Another highlight in the summer months is the show called “Impression West Lake” which is performed directly on the lake. This popular performance combines folklores and myths to show Hangzhou’s culture and history to its audience in front of a beautiful landscape. In Hangzhou one can find as well several night markets where you can stroll through the different stands and streets. One of the oldest markets is the Wushan Night Market which is called 53 Night Market by locals. It is over 20 years old and was moved from Wushan Square to Huixing Lu and Renhe Lu several years ago. This market is a mixture of people from different cultures and countries where you can find a great amount of small and strange gadgets, paintings, bags, caps and a lot more. Good bargaining skills are favourable at such markets.
